Barbara Kujawa is a proud military spouse, parent, and grandmother. She was raised in San Diego, California, married a career Navy chief, and spent many years moving around the country. When they settled in Maine, she worked with students with disabilities in elementary and middle school as a paraprofessional for 12 years. She moved to Virginia in 2015 to be closer to her family and grandchildren. She has three grandchildren with autism, all who have or are clients of MASC. She is passionate about supporting people with autism and helping others to be accepting of each other’s differences. She lives in Chesapeake, Virginia with her husband and two dogs, Lucy and Annie, and enjoys spending time with her family, embroidering, and traveling when time permits.
